People magazine says she took the stage last night for the first time in almost three years. She performed a 14 minute set at the House of Blues in San Diego. Spears reportedly sang some of her biggest pop hits like “…Baby One More Time.” The singers expected to make other appearances later in the week.Anna Nicole Smiths daughter is now in the U.S. Dannielynn and Larry Birkhead flew from the Bahamas to Kentucky yesterday. Theyre reportedly visiting Birkheads relatives before heading back to his home in California. “Access Hollywood” reports the baby was an easy traveler…she barely fussed throughout the day. Last month a DNA test showed he was the biological father of Dannielynn.Rumors are flying that comedian Roseanne Barr may be a candidate for the next host of ABCs “The View.” Barr says shed love to take the job if it was offered to her. But she does say no one from the show has talked to her about the position yet. The New York Post has said before that Barr is a possible candidate to replace Rosie ODonnell, whos leaving the show in June.Actor and comedian Tracy Morgan now has to wear an alcohol monitor…as punishment for drunk driving. E! Online reports hell wear the device on his ankle for 90 days in addition to 5 days of community service. If the monitor detects alcohol, he has to wear it for another 90 days, and if the device detects it again hell get jail time. The Los Angeles city attorney says its a result of his recent drunk driving arrest in New York, which violated his probation from a 2005 DUI arrest.The film “300″ is leading the way with the most nominations for the 2007 MTV movie awards. It grabbed 5 nods including Best Picture. “Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Mans Chest” follows closely behind with four nominations. Other nominees include Sacha Baron Cohen who got 3 nods including best fight for the wrestling match featured in “Borat.” Funny man Will Ferrell also grabbed several nominations for “Talladega Nights.” The awards will be announced June 3rd with comedian Sarah Silverman as host.Thats all for now, thanks for watching todays entertainment update.

She was at the UN yesterday to announce a fundraising plan with the cosmetic company Avon. Witherspoon is Avons Global Ambassador. The actress unveiled the womens empowerment bracelet…which Witherspoon says will be a “sign of solidarity and hope” to end violence. One hundred percent of the bracelets profits will go to help women.A new reality show about the Lohan family is set to debut this summer. E! says it will air a series following around Lindsays mom Dina called “Living Lohan.” It will reportedly follow her and her other children; 20 year old Michael, 14 year old Ali and 11 year old Cody. The show will specifically focus on Alis hopes to…like her sister…become a singer and actress.Anna Nicole Smiths daughter Dannielynn has been named the sole heir of her estate. A Los Angeles made it official yesterday. Smith died last year of an accidental drug overdose. The judge also ruled Smiths former boyfriend Howard K. Stern and Dannielynns father Larry Birkhead will be co-trustees. The toddler could inherit millions of dollars from Smiths late husband…whos fortune is still being disputed in court.Country star Kenny Chesney is racking up the nominations for the Academy of Country Music Awards. Smiths total assets are reportedly worth 710,000 dollars. The will was written in 2001 and leaves it all to her son Daniel…who died last year of an accidental overdose. By default, “Entertainment Tonight” says the assets go to her infant daughter Dannielynn. As her father, Larry Birkhead is requesting to be the guardian of Smiths estate…now inherited by Dannielynn.Paris Hiltons therapist says her recent jail sentence is causing emotional stress. People.com reports the psychiatrist filed documents to a Los Angeles court claiming Hilton is “distraught and traumatized.” The findings were presented to the court regarding an ongoing slander lawsuit against the heiress by actress Zeta Graff. The psychiatrist says shes unable to testify next week because of the stress of her sentence. Graff claims Hilton unfairly accused the actress of stalking her.Singer Faith Hill will debut a new single at tonights Academy of Country Music Awards. Shell take the stage to performe her new song “Lost” from her upcoming album “The Hits.” That release is a mix of some of her most popular songs and is expected to hit the shelves later this year.
